Xavien Howard Arrest Fouls Big Win

Xavien Howard cuts short the positive vibe of the Phins big win

Xavien Howard has been arrested for ‘roughing up’ the mother of his three children. In legal terms, Howard has been arrested for domestic battery.

Howard’s standing, his huge talent, and recent mega-contract make this arrest serious brakes on the amazing momentum the Phins created after Sunday’s game.

Sadly, this arrest will diminish the media’s focus on the epic win. Bet with the best 2020 pay per head bookie services that Howard’s situation will dominate Flores’s pressers for awhile. In fact, only one day after one of the biggest Dolphins wins, they are holding a conference about Howard’s situation.

This isn’t the type of leadership the Miami Dolphins need.

Miami’s lone exclamation mark going into the 2019 Season is now surrounded by major questions heading into 2020.

Injury is uncontrollable uncertainty, getting physical with a woman is a whole other ball of wax.

For four seasons, Continuous knee issues have limited Howard’s ability to contribute. He has appeared in just 38 out of 64 possible games. Now tack on a suspension of some sort on top of any games he’ll miss because of this injury. Consistency, character, team above self was nowhere in Howard’s choice. And that’s just regarding the football side of things.

Remember, Howard is the father of three children.

According to TMZ’s report: “In the docs, the woman — who has three children with Howard — claims the NFL player began arguing with her “over a recent purchase of a purse at a store that wasn’t disclosed to him.”

The docs say Howard “grabbed both her arms and pushed her back up against the mirrored glass wall in the hallway of their bedroom.

“Responding officers believe there was enough evidence to make an arrest and took Howard into custody on a domestic battery charge.”

“Cops note Howard was NOT taken directly to jail because he complained of knee pain from his recent surgery. Officials took him to a local hospital first to be examined.”

Getting physical with a woman over anything isn’t acceptable, no matter how much the purse cost. This is extra true when you are a multimillionaire and money is no object. There are deep waters running under Howard’s quiet and calm demeanor. We can hope he gets help, but sometimes these issues get fixed, sometimes they don’t.

Everyone deserves a second chance, but preparing for the worst is wisest…

With all the question marks around Howard now, the possibility of drafting cornerback Jeffery Okudah, if still available at #5, has been given a bit more credence. I still think trading back and picking up more draft selections is the best route or selecting Left Tackle Thomas somehow slips. But, if the aforementioned isn’t possible and Miami is forced to draft someone, Okudah might be the right pick.

Howard isn’t going anywhere

Howard is seriously injured and has plenty of guaranteed money next season, so he’ll be a Phins in 2020. The question is can he overcome his bad knees and personal demons? Or will his extension end up the worst mistake of this young regime?

The most important thing for Howard, his fiancée, and their three children is that he gets his mind right. Football is a game, money comes and goes, but family is a man’s true wealth. I say that with the utmost seriousness. There are five lives that depend on Howard winning this one. Lives outweigh football.

Xavien Howard needs to look no farther than his Head Coach as a role model. And that’s the good side of this story, Brian Flores will do everything to help Howard get right on and off the field. Go Phins!!!

Very happy and prosperous new year to all. Hope 2020 brings us much joy from our beloved Dolphins. Here’s to the next phase of the rebuild.

Howard’s domestic violence charge doesn’t seem to be a game breaker to me. Oh sure, he is a typical overpaid injury prone player with zero common sense. The article makes it sound like Howard is a baby-daddy and isn’t even married to the woman he beat up. That purse just cost Howard allot more than it’s retail price tag. Does Howard have any trade value? How about Aquib Talib?

Maybe we should look at the team needs, which are deep and wide! We can’t run the ball and we can’t stop the run. The Patriots could have beaten us simply by continuing to run the football! I say we trade those first round picks and draft offensive and defensive linemen first. This team has such a talent poor roster that most draft picks will make the team. There is no reason to spend your picks on a corner or a quarterback this year. A free agent running back and an upgraded line would have won us a couple of games this year. A free agent linebacker would be nice too!

Maybe we should follow the advice of the sports writers? We could take another injury prone player like a quarterback from Alabama! A bad shoulder and two surgically repaired ankles. Which brings us to Parker! He is healthy, under contract and coming off of a good year. Trade him now, before he hits the injured reserve list again! The Dolphin purge will not be complete until Devante Parker is gone! Maybe we could package him and Howard for a first round pick too!

Howard is just another page in the saga of the NEW MIAMI DOLPHINS!

Happy New Year, Van. ” Does Howard have any trade value? How about Aquib Talib?” YUP!!! I’m not high on taking Tua… of course, if we don’t he’ll end up a HOFer… I like Espensea and the LB/S (can’t remember his name). BUT, if Okudah is there I could see him as he is by far the best value to the Phins (or most teams) if Burrow, Young and Thomas are gone. Still Not sure about the OTs though… haven’t looked them all over. Maybe one is of great value. The run defense is mostly about the poor LB play. If you put a good MLB on this team most of the run issues would vanish. McMillan is decent in run stop and he made a big diff. He like Baker are one dimensional. Baker could improve… but I doubt he’ll ever be very good in RD. He’s a WLB. The Lb could be picked up in FA as you said. Look a Espenesa… he really impresses.

With all his knee issues, I would say to try and trade him for pick (s) if possible.

I sorta’ hoped he was one that they would trade. I liked him as a player and person (until this recent news… if true) BUT, those knees are a real concern. Happy New Year, sir!!!
