What Now!

Well, after so much promise, the Miami Dolphins have fallen on hard times, again! We fans will have to swallow another disappointment, take it like men and women, and wait to see what’s next. More than likely, a lot of changes are coming in 2016. The Bill’s loss was a mixed batch of Buffalo making plays, ref’s making two completely head-scratching calls – (one should get someone fired), the Dolphins weaknesses getting exposed, and a bit of ineptness on both players and coaches.

Overall, I’d say it wasn’t a terrible performance but an uneven one that got out of control. Tanny made two critical errors, but also played well. Coach Campbell rallied them from a deficit, had them hanging tough and overcoming disappointment, but didn’t manage the clock well at the end of the half and might have made the wrong call by going for it on fourth down and accepting the holding call in the third. The defense played well mostly, Suh and Rashad especially, but also gave up several gashing big runs. In the end, it all amounts to effectively ending the 2015 season.

The question is at this point – What Now?

Are the Dolphins ready for scrapping and overhaul, or will coach Campbell be kept on and the roster retooled? Neither right now seems pleasant football gamble to me. An overhaul means years away from possibly competing and retooling means keeping uncertain pieces and hoping they’ll possibly turn the corner. The best pay per head reviews. Growing up in the era I did as a Dolphins fan in comparison to now was so, so different. I never would have imagined THE Miami Dolphins would be relegated to the joke pile.

Today, for the 2015 season, they have been tossed once again to the scrap heap.  It’ only because I love them so that it hurts this much. Go Fins.

This site is ridiculous. What friggin game were you homers watching? Fins got poned, and there never was any question of what would happen vs Bills, see my other posts.

What you homers dont, wont, or cant see is that this team reallyd does suck, from the top (Ross) down (Grimes). What youre seeing is years of bad drafts, bad FA moves, bad HC hires…its really very simple.

Yesterday what you saw was a regular guy, likable as he is, placed in a role (HC) that is waaay over his head in Campbell.

Lazor belongs in the college ranks, hes not NFL OC IMO.

You cant line up and play in this league with a midget CB, 3 limp wristed bums at LB, an invisible player at WS, and an overall weak DL.

On offense, what was yesterday? Give Jarvis Landry the ball when its obvious day? WTF? Watching the game I knew every time they moved Landry he was getting the ball.

This team wins 5 games max…max.

So…maybe Sean Payton will take a call from Ross?

I know how to fix this mess but Ross is too friggin stupid. His problem starts with his entire management of this franchise. Fire Tannebaum, fire the personnel staff, and hire a credible GM.

Nothing changes next year either folks.

Freak, Every year changes for every team. No different for the Dolphins. Need the correct regime in place along with a competent front office.

Can we hit on a handful of draft picks one time? Even by accident, when I say a handful, I mean 2/3, heck how about 4. Minimal impact players that have been home grown in for ever.

Freak, To say “Nothing changes next year either folks” is a foolish statement. Every year a team that finished last in their division the previous year wins their division the following year. It has been a trend for a decade+. Sooner or later Brady will slow down (tomorrow’s not to soon), and last place is where we are going to finish this year. At least we will have another top 10 draft pick that will come in and not start or contribute initially, as well as the last place schedule (which somehow will still be harder than the Pats).

Dunner, keep on hoping bro. That never happens with the Fins. See last 10+ years. HC’s change, QB’s change, GM’s change, the one constant is mediocrity mate.

Next year wont be any different.

Remember when everyone thought this year was the year we get into playoffs?

We dont even know who will be the HC and coordinators next year.

They want Suh to play within the rules, yet they don’t call within the rules. Getting held right in front of the ref on one Watkins TD, has the QB in grasp (and if he body slammed him they throw a flag), going from 3rd and 18 to touchdown in the coarse of 1 play.. Absolutely ridiculous, that referring crew should have a negative review and not be allowed to ref the playoffs.

I am not sure who is the answer, but this team has to much talent on the defensive side of the ball to allow running backs to go crazy.

Tannehill has played worse, but again, first offensive play of the game, yes tough snap, but the Brady’s of the world don’t let that happen. Tanny is a above average backup at this level under this regime, fourth year and there really has been no progression for game management. The things the franchise QBs just have, it is not something that can be taught, he just doesn’t have it!

If you can NOT win in your division (0-4) you are not going anywhere. Losing to the Pats is one thing, but when you can’t beat the other 2 teams (ever), you will be sitting home in January! Right where we will be this year.

I almost want us to lose out, trade Tanny for another 1st round pick (if he even has that value, not for me) and trade up to get a franchise QB. Or stay put and pick up a OL, TE, LBer, CB.

Lets not use our final timeout in the first half? Again, something QBs that have IT, don’t let happen. Call the timeout to give yourself 2 plays to close the half out and not 1 play (followed by a timeout just because you have it. Both on Tanny and the staff, uncalled for and ridiculous).

Lets not take the 3 points before half? We were getting the ball to start the 3rd quarter, if we drove down and had to settle for a field goal at that time, all the sudden we would have been down less than 1 score (6 points). Nope, walk away with nothing, zero, zilch, remain down 9 (2 scores) going into the 3rd quarter! Again, RIDICULOUS on the staff!!!

I am so sick of being a Miami fan, unfortunately I will remain one till the good Lord calls for me. I am sure I will not see them in a Super Bowl by then. Is asking for a simple playoff game to stinking much???

    Apparently so!!!

The season is not over Yet! I would like to see Mat Moore take the rest of the season and more running the Ball. I did not see the Bills game but a loss is a loss.

    Honest assessment of the Dolphins!
Where are the improvements? We cannot get worst each week?????? A Win is A Win.

It will take a calamity on the part of alot of other teams to allows us to sneak into the playoffs…sad part we could of won the game. Afew foolish mistakes and decisions and insane calls by the refs ended any hope late in the third. Problem is if Campbell doesnt take the gig by producing it will be taken from him and then another Philbin is around the corner,
