Titans Present Giant Problems For Miami

The Dolphins offense was pretty decent last year, and the sports betting strategy was that they were going to be even better this season because they added more offensive weapons, and Tannehill was entering his second season in Bill Lazor’s offense. Instead, the Dolphins have regressed on offense, and here are some dreary stats that need to change; they are last in third-down conversions (26.9%), 31st in scoring (16.3 points per game), 31st in rushing (69.3 yards per game), and 28th in passer rating (77.1).

This upcoming Sunday the Dolphins take on a Tennessee Titans team that maybe 1-3, but their defense has been one of the better defenses in the league. The Titans defense is ranked first in the NFL in pass defense (allowing only 166.5 yards per game), ranked third best in overall yards per game, (283.5 yards per game), and third-best in the league on third downs (allowing teams to convert on only 31.3% of the time.) Unfortunately for the Dolphins, their weakness is going to be going against the other team’s strength, which could amplify the Dolphins’ lack of production on offense.

Bring out the broken record. The Dolphins must make a commitment to the run if they want to have success against the Titans. The Titans rush defense is mediocre, with them ranked 23rd worst in yards allowed per game at 117 yards, which means if the Dolphins give the run a chance they may be able to have success. The Dolphins have nothing to lose by committing to the run, especially considering that they are not having much success throwing the ball over 70% of the time.

In addition when, and if the Dolphins get within the goal line they need to try running the ball. Lamar Miller had 9 touchdowns last year, which shows he knows how to find the endzone, however this year thru four games he has 0 touchdowns. Sure there are multiple reasons for this, but for me, the biggest reason is that he only has 37 carries this year, which is less than 10 a game. That is just downright pitiful to have your starting running back carry the ball less than 10 times a game. Even with the limited carries, Miller has a 3.5 yards per carry average. That is nothing to jump up for joy about, however, 3.5 yards per carry means that if he hypothetically ran the ball on first, second, and third down he would get the first down. Even if he ran the ball on first and second down that would leave a very manageable third and 3 yards. The best pay per head reviews.

The hope is that new Head Coach Dan Campbell understands this issue and that he will immediately address it by committing to the run this weekend in Tennessee. The Dolphins are throwing the ball as much as an MLB starting pitcher, and it is not working, so why not try a different route, and run the ball. It can’t hurt to try, especially considering that passing the ball an obscene amount of times is not working either. Does the rest of the Miami Dolphins News fans think Dan Campbell will make it a priority to commit to the running game this weekend…and more importantly, will he stick with it if the going gets tough?

What is keyshon Moreno’s health like
If he has recovered at least give him s tryout
I am sure he would play better than our existing backs and much cheaper

I think Gray is a real wild card…he looked physical and had a nice pop and jab step…I expect him to see action…He runs little like Moreno

A lesson the Dolphins have not learned yet!

The Falcons have spent the last 20 years with an inconsistent run game, thanks to older backs that fall apart a few years into their contract. Looking back, Falcons fans suffered through the failed Steven Jackson experiment. In five seasons, Michael Turner gave us three truly great years. In six seasons, Warrick Dunn gave us three 1,100+ yard seasons.

You have to go back to Jamal Anderson to find the last Atlanta running back that gave us more than three great seasons. That was because, in part, the Falcons drafted him instead of signing him after his career was half over.

As we have seen, the Falcons have been unable to maintain a consistent run game by relying on veterans and missing on draft selections. Freeman is a home run pick, and should allow the Falcons to have an impressive run game both in the short and long term. For the first time in decades, the Falcons have a great running back not on their career decline.

    Jimmy!

My questioned Is: 1. Who do the Dolphins think they are? Passing team or Running Team?

A passing team can hit the deep balls.
( Tom Brady does more with his tight end than (all Fin Receiver in 4 games)
    A running team rush 25 to 35 carries. Devonte Freeman 5’8 ( 8 or 9 touchdowns 5 games)
    Better to have balance!

Who are they? If they dont know then! their is a bigger problem.

In my simple opinion we should be a QB action passing team. Last season when Tanny used alot of action and his athletics it opened up the rest of the Phins game. It’s risky and should be toned down and instead inject tough inside run game. Deep passes are still his weakness and the success he does hve seems to come in break downs rather than design. I think this weak the D will step up big and we will be patient and committed to the run. Eventually it will break hard fins way and we will win by more than 2 scores (10pts+)

The Dolphins are a better team than the Titans. I expect A Dolphin win.
Note: If the Dolphins come out the gate running a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and back on the side line offense. Keeping their defense on the field.

Note: The Offensive scheme is a failure then why keep those guilty around another game.

It’s difficult to implement and new scheme and with Philly gone you need to keep Lazor…Saunders is an overseer and might take the reigns at some point or next season if this regime works out. Player will be benched. Jamil will probably sit over turner, Parker over Jennings and Gray might take snaps if Miller won’t put his head into the beenest.
