Revenge Can Be Sweet!!

2015 sucked! The highlights were few and far between, and interspersed with frustration that made my blood pressure rise till I was near blind! But, if the transition between 2015 and 2016 could end with a Pats loss in Denver and the Miami victory in week 17 had even the smallest effect – I’ll smile and take it as a good omen for this season coming up!

I try my best with every post to be fair, factually based, and keep my rose colored fan glasses off, or at least to a bare minimum. This isn’t such a post. I’m grasping at microscopic straws and all I’m seeing is bright crimson.

Think of the look on Brady’s and Belichick’s’ faces if they were to lose? I know it’s terrible, but their sorrow would feed a huge smile. Not simply because of their defeat, although that would be nice, but also because of the hope it would fuel that this could be the beginning of a trend – yes, there would be zero rationality to it. But remember, it’s the off season where wounds and bruises are healed with a balm of hope. And we Fin Fans are tattooed with them with the beat up blues.

Let’s enter fantasy land! Imagine if Gase can build on T-Hill’s clutch play from week 17 and Tannenbaum can pull a “Seattle Draft” this year! Yes, the best sportsbook in the world say that a lotto win might be easier. But, imagine if next season T-Hilll arrives and this was the start of it all…

Aw heck, this much red is hurting my eyes and I need to down a bottle of “Jack” to keep it up any longer. Denver, please just don’t screw it up! Manning take an extra dose of HGH, or whatever it takes to get that arm live again and win this game!! Do it for yourself, the Denver fans…and us Fin Fans, so we can enjoy watching Miami stick it to the Pats. No it won’t make up for 2015 – but it sure will make going into 2016 just a little sweeter. Go Fins!!!

My concept of revenge starts with us sweeping the Pats next year. I want them to travel to Miami as a wild card only to get pulverized by the new Dolphins. I want Brady to chew out his offensive linemen and then get punched out by a teammate. I want Gisele to call him a girly-man and then divorce him. I want Roger Goodell to announce that he is suspending Billicheater for using a drone to spy on the Dolphins during practice. Who says revenge is a dish best served cold?

If I remember right the first 17 plays the pats ran against the Dolphins were runs
When they played the Chiefs the first 4 plays were passes and I did not count but it looked like 10 out of the first 14 plays were passes
I have to Agee with Dunner I think it was done on purpose
How many catches for how many yards did their tight end have against the Dolphins ?
And how many against the Chiefs
    I rest my case
But since I was at the pats game it sure felt great at the time to win and we cheered like crazy – but I did have a feeling that they were throwing that game on purpose specially the fourth quarter

…with all due respect, that’s just nonsense …if they had started Garopolo I’d argee with you …but they started Brady and they kept him in the game even though he was taking some serious hits …you don’t risk one of the best QBs in modern NFL history in a game you aren’t really trying to win …and they did need to win …the home field advantage in the playoffs is real

…and for all the Tanny haters, get something new to rant about …when he’s on his game he’s every bit as good a QB as Brady/Manning/Rogers/Roth …he’s had enough good games to prove its not just a fluke …his real problem, besides the OL, is that he’s very inconsistent …here’s hoping Gase can fix that …but saying he doesn’t have the skill set to take us to a SB just exposes a serious case of rectal-cranial inversion …imnsho of course

      …there …that’s my inner PhinFreak speaking 🙂

Was it Revenge??? After all, the win over the Pats cost Miami 4 spots in the draft, going from #4 to #8, HUGE difference all the way around. So, was it revenge, or did the Pats and more specifically Billacheat get the last laugh, costing Miami 4 spots in the draft? While they lost the #1 seed, Billacheat would much more play KC in the divisional playoffs opposed to a healthy Steelers team.

So ask yourself, who got revenge??? I don’t think that Miami did!!! Even when the Pats and Billacheat lose, they still win, and even when we think we’ve beaten them, we still have lost……

Well I think they played a conservative game plan to “hurry” the game along and said this will be enough to beat these chumps and still get some rest…I think they are regretting that decision. Even if they came out with one hand tied behind their back, they still needed to be beaten. It’s all conjecture on my part. BUT bottom line that win has them traveling…and if they lose it might be a small component to the lose, but it still is a component…least that’s how I see it!!

      • Dunner

Any time we beat the Pats it is great regardless. The revenge would have been for Miami to put Brady out of commission for the playoffs (and I never hope for a player to get hurt), that would have been a priceless revenge.

    Admin!

Since the game is in Denver I will have to ride with Denver beating the Pats. Key to the Bronco’s win will be to shut the Pat Tight end down! Which I would commit my safety to help the line backers cover their Tight end every pass play. My Corners will be on their own with the wide receivers.

My defensive end will help drop back and help cover New Englands tight end on pass plays occassionally not every play.

My Safety and line backers will legally pushished any body attempting to catch a ball in there area.

My Defensive linemen will clogged up all running lanes and pass rushed with their hands up to blocked passes.

Brady Likes to sit toward his left about 1 to 3 yards and when pressured he would mainly step forward a foot are to. The Dolphins figured that out in their last game against the Pats.

Note: If you could put a Deon Sanders on the field in his prime Tom Brandy would not throw on his side!

    …now that’s just silly

…the only revenge I’m interested in is seeing the Dolphins move toward a new AFC East dynasty as the Brady/Belicheat duo fade into history …I like Tannehill/Gase and a repeat of ’72 for starters

    …ok, I’m hallucinating 🙂

Lemmus, it was silly…but silly can be good sometimes…I just want Pats to know we stuck it to them and as a fan watch…the rest is as likely as me growing a fourth eye!!!

All due respect “But Management belief that their current QB will lead them to a Super Bowl is “existing only in the imagination”. Have you watch the QB’s in this 2016 play off Series? they are phenomenal Quarterbacks while under tremendus presure able to step up their game in order to win. A strong running game and play maker receivers to go along with the package. Lemmus how can I forget A solid offensive line to protect.
