Pumped Up For Next Game

There has not been anything to be excited about so far this season, especially when the team is a very disappointing 1-3. HOWEVER, over the bye-week, the Dolphins made some dramatic, yet necessary changes by firing head coach Joe Philbin and defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle. Now the Dolphins have a young intensive head coach in Dan Campbell, who was a former player, and Lou Anarumo who was the defensive backs coach, but has now been promoted to defensive coordinator, we get to have a whole new 2015 start of the season. We are in the hole some – but we are in a better position now than when we were 0-0.

Clearly, Philbin and Coyle were a big reason that the ‘Phins were not playing well, and hopefully, this change will make a huge difference. Usually, a big move like this doesn’t show a dramatic change in results immediately, however, there is distinctive and infectious energy from Dan Campbell that could defy reality – let’s hope with all hope. Campbell demonstrates the aggressive demeanor that this team has lacked under Philbin. We will see in week 6 if it’s contagious.

A team generally plays like the personality of their head coach. Philbin was a finesse, straight-laced guy, and that was how the Dolphins generally played. Campbell is intense and aggressive and hopefully, this will rub off on the team, because those traits are exactly the opposite of Philbin, and exactly what this desperate team needs.

Even though there was a shakeup in the coaching staff, the players are still the same, and there is still a lot of talent on this roster. Even though the team is 1-3 and this season is slipping down the rabbit hole of irrelevance, I can honestly say I am pumped up to see how the Dolphins will play in their next game against the Tennessee Titans.

Most pay per head reviews are saying that the change of a head coach during the season never makes much of a difference, and in each time that this happened in the NFL which was over 20 times, the team still failed to make the playoffs. However, even if we do not make the playoffs, this is Campbell’s chance to be a head coach, and he is not the type of man that is going to go down without a fight. If his intensity and aggressiveness can not improve this team, then it’s on the players, which means they are not good enough. While it has it’s warts, I truly think this team has talent, so it should be logical that Campbell can actually come in and get that talent motivated. Is the rest of the Miami Dolphins News fans excited for the next game or do you guys think we are going to see more of the same, lifeless, and sloppy playing from our beloved team?

Sooner or later there is going to be a mid season coaching change with that team responding and making the playoffs. Why not us, why not now???
I am just as excited for Oct. 18th as I was for opening day. If this team can take on its head coaches intensity and grit we will see a much more competitive team with positive results. I believe this roster is more talented than 1-3, it is time to show it though. We are almost certain to see a more aggressive approach on both sides of the ball. Have a feeling we will have more sacks Oct. 18 than we totaled for the year (1, are you kidding me)!

I understand that the Dolphins clearly will established their identity under Coach Campbell. We all say any given Sunday any team can beat the other.

    New Dolphins
    1. Being more physical than your opponent
    2. Being more Poised than your opponent
    3. A mistake free football team
    4. Play 100% evey second of the game
Equals = playsoff this season! I truely believed this!

The real question is will the team improve
    I believe it will
We got rid of the cancer
    We are in recovery mode
Our faults have been exposed though
Other NFL teams now know our offensive line stinks
So will they be able to take advantage ??
Will the front office make a trade for a guard or sign Sotile ?
Or will we just hope for the best with what we have ?
    Trading deadline is October 20
This next game will tell a lot
Hope our players respond to new coaching
    Go phins

I believe we are better if the hussle is there…even if it doesn’t register in the win column. I hate losing ALOT, but I detest not give your all. I can watch Dolphins loss, but I can’t if they quit.
