McCain possible breakout of the year candidate

Hopes are very high in South Florida and there are a lot of young and hungry players on this year’s team that are looking to see their roles and performances increase this season.

The coaches are expecting and relying on quite a few of these players to make significant jumps in improvement this season, and most of the boys at your pay per head bookie service sites like AcePerHead.com would agree that 2nd-year player Chris McCain is one of those players that are at the top of the list.

McCain was an undrafted rookie out of California, and even though he played sparingly last season, which was still quite an accomplishment because it was a surprise that he even made the team, he made his presence felt when he was on the field. Now going into his second year in the league, the speed of the game has begun to slow down for him, and he no longer feels like a deer in headlights. Not only is McCain’s comfort levels increasing, but the coaches’ comfort levels with him are increasing, and he is been given every opportunity to be the starting weakside linebacker.

Not only has McCain been predominately playing with the first-team defense, but he has been playing very well. He is already proving to be an extremely versatile player with his ability to defend against the run and pass coverage, but also with his ability to rush the QB. Just between this year and last year, there is an obvious improvement in McCain’s game, and he is putting in the necessary work each day to continue to get better.

McCain is a perfect example of the newfound youth and hunger on this team, and he is focused on making the most of every opportunity that is put in front of him. Initially, I will admit that I was worried that McCain may not be able to produce consistently because there is such a small sample of plays from last year for us to grade him on. However it is obvious from these early practices, that McCain has been putting in the work, and already looks very improved from last year, and with all the extra reps he is getting in practice he is getting the chance to improve on a daily basis. The more reps and experience McCain gets, the better he will become, and with his unique athleticism, the sky is the limit for his potential with the Dolphins. How does the rest of the Miami Dolphins news fans feel about McCain’s chances of having a breakout season this year?

Actually, Jimmy I only realized recently that McCain had such an epic game his lone start…like 22 tackles or something. You and coupe others were pretty high on him. Would be awesome, if by some blessing of the football Gods he exploded on the scene!!
