Dolphins Need an Eli Manning QB

After watching the Dolphins lose to the New York Giants, one thing was very clear to me, which is that we do not have a QB like Eli Manning on our team. Manning put up an astounding performance going 27 for 31 with 337 passing yards, 4 touchdowns, no sacks and a QB rating of 95.9. He was cutting up the Dolphins defense like a surgeon, and finally put the nail in the Dolphins coffin by completing a third and long pass for a game sealing first down.

Tannehill in comparison did not play poorly, however, he was clearly out played by the elite Eli Manning. If the Dolphins want to be a consistent playoff team in the future they need to have a QB that can play at the level of Eli Manning, and not at the level of Ryan Tannehill. When the game entered the fourth quarter it was a tie ball game,  Manning was able to drive the Giants down the field in 2 plays for 96 yards, that included a 84 yard long ball to Odell Beckham Jr. After that Tannehill, and the offense would only get the ball two more times, and all they could muster was a total of 30 yards and a costly penalty that moved the Dolphins back from the Giants 31 to the Giants 41. Tannehill and the offense could not find a way to make a play, and as a result that was as close as they would get for the remainder of the game.

The QB position is arguably the most important position in all of sports, which means that the teams that have the best QB’s generally have the best teams. There is no mystery to football betting software that you need a very good QB to have a very good team. When you look at the last 12 Super Bowls there is probably only one Super Bowl that was played that will result in at least one of the QB’s playing in the game, not ending his career in the Hall of Fame. (Super Bowl 47, the Ravens against the 49ers, Flacco vs Kaepernick do not look like Hall of Fame material.)

Once again, Tannehill had a chance to carry the offense and the team on his back, and come away with a victory. But, it was the opposing QB that was able to make the crucial throws and get the necessary first downs to get his team the victory. Sure Tannehill is still young, however as Parcells used to say if a puppy doesn’t bite when he is young, he probably is not going to bite when he is older. Tannehill has not shown that killer instinct and rarely do fans have the confidence that he can lead the Dolphins from behind or close out a close football game. Miami is going to continue having problems winning close games unless Tannehill gets better when the game is on the line or unless Miami can find another QB that can win close football games. What are the rest of the Miami Dolphins News fans thoughts and feelings about whether or not Tannehill has what it takes to win close football games.

    This dog dont hunt.
    This puppy dont bite.

Use whatever cutsie phrase you want but mediocre is mediocre. Too many examples of young QBs that are flashing. See Cousins. See Carr. See Bortles. See Mariota. See Winston.

Now take an honest unbiased look at Tannehill. What games has HE won?

    Blow it up.

Missed your comment…yeah those are the main issues I have with T-Hill…only caveat is Philbust may have raised him weak and there could be -COULD- be a more viscous dog on the other side. 2017 is a mandatory year for him so we see if a miracle can come… merry Christmas!
