What Kind Of Miami Team Will Play Bills?

Bills are vying for the top of the ACFC.

Bills are vying for the top of the ACFC.

The Bills have rebounded from a rough start to the 2016 season.

The Miami Dolphins are looking to do something this Sunday that they have not done all season: have a winning streak. It’s going one heck of a tough task considering they will have to beat the Buffalo Bills, a team that has dominated the Dolphins over the past 3 years. As icing on the cake, the Bills have been playing extremely well, winning 4 of their last 4 games.

The best pay per head software providers in the world opened up the Dolphins line at +3 for the Dolphins, and the line has actually come in a touch to +2.5 for the Phins. The public has been steadily sending wagers in on the Bills at almost a 4 to 1 clip.  Similar to what happened last week in the Steeler game, the public is once again betting on the favorite and giving the Dolphins little second thought. Like last week though, this could be a good omen that the public gets in wrong.

In order for the Dolphins to play like they did against the Steelers, they are going to have to get another solid performance from their offensive line. They should have a decent chance of performing well, since their 5 starters should all be healthy enough to play on Sunday. If Miami can get a quality outing from them, then this will help the Dolphins offense to once again establish a running attack and give Tannehill enough time to throw the ball. The offensive line will be the key to the success of our offense against Buffalo…and for the rest of the season.

The Bills have a ton of issues stemming from a host of injuries.

On Defense, the Dolphins are going to have to focus their attention on stopping the Bills potent running attack. Rex Ryan loves to run the football, and his team is the number 1 running team in the NFL. And since he knows that Miami has struggled against the run this season, he is not going to shy away from pounding the rock early and often. So far, Lesean McCoy is still being listed as questionable, but he is expected to suit up.There is  not doubt that he is less than a 100%, so that should at least take out a little air from the Bills running attack. Miami will also have to make sure they contain Tyrod Taylor, because he is very dangerous with his legs as well, and Miami has had problems in the past with running QB’s.

This is obviously such a huge game. If Miami can prevail, this will have them going into the Bye Week on a strong note and able to come out, at home against the New York Jets, healed and rested with a head of steam.

So does the Miami Dolphins News fans think that Miami will come out and play like they played against the Steelers, or will we see them play like the team that went 1-4 to start the season?

Speaking of the O-Line, here is a little tide bit about yesterday’s game I came across:

“No Dolphins blockers were better Sunday than their two youngest offensive linemen. Laremy Tunsil earned PFF’s highest-rated grade among linemen, and PFF said right tackle Ja’Wuan James – who has really improved his game the past two weeks – was Miami’s best run-blocker Sunday”, per Miami Herald.

Seems James is getting back to his usual form. Some more good news for the Fins!!!

I know Lemmus, Another PFF reference.

He’ll like this one, though 🙂 Glad to see James rebounding…his struggles were a huge shocker to me!!!

    Hello Dolfans

I have not seen the game yet! But was able to watch a few highlights. The win today for this Miami Dolphins team has placed this team above the last five years of dolphins players. Meaning the last five years the Dolphins were sure to disappoint everyone.

Coach Gase has tap into his offensive line talents and Yes! Their was no mistake Drafting Tensile. This offensive line are destroyer of defensive lines. they will ruin any defensive scheme with their forward progress. Our offensive line are wreckers when run blocking no line is better in the NFL. This is the Miami Dolphins offensive line strength Pulling, Blocking, rushing forward.

The NFL Teams are soft and do not want to tackle every down. The Dolphins are feared now. Football is about rushing the ball. A great Run game will always complement the passing game. Hats off to Ajayi and Williams. And Please thank your line.
Our defensive line are ruination and undoing run stoppers and pass rushers.

The Highlights I did see everyone was blocking some body. “OUTSTANDING”!

One game at a time, every one doing their job, Who do I block Coach? How do I block him?

I always believed that We have the Talent right now to moved Far!
Defense makes stops and Everyone on our offense can block someone on every down the game is won!

Only thing though Steve these last two weeks were talented by somewhat depleted defenses. Pouncy has a very hard time when he has to block alone and when he is lined up head up. Tannehill will have to loosen up D’s to free up the run– that’s when the rubber will meet the road. STILL this was a thing of beauty…and sort of ironic that Miami is most known today for Marino that the passing game, but Miami has 2 of the 4 runner to have back to back 200 yard games!!! I just love this run game…Ajayi is really running with such power, movement, suddenness and vision that I am really astounded!!!

        Admin!

We will never be a 100% complete team during the season, we are rarely 90% by the 1st NFL game. By the Dolphins winning put matter’s into a different perspective meaning: We can always improved each week.

Lets keep the facts real within the last 2 decades the Miami Dolphin’s has only been a play off team by Running. The last two games the Dolphins have proven to be the most physical team in the league until otherwise proven.

Facts: Tannehill has been sack 17 times in four games and the last two games 1 sack. Due to a Serious run game.

    …one more comment

…the bomb to Stills is real …that’s 4 times in 7 games …plus the one he dropped

…teams have to gameplan for it now …which might help Landry who’s been drawing constant double coverage

…and it does quell the line that TH can’t throw deep accurately …he still has manifold other problems but that is no longer one of them …if it ever really was

It real good to as Gase said, players want coaches that can help them make money. All these turn around from player with give Gase cred for FA and rookies. Stills will likely be gone next year, but it makes Gase look like a teacher…and that is always good!!!

  • Lemmus

…oops, missed a sack on TH …but we got 4 on TT

…Ajayi can’t continue to run the ball 28x a game …and Foster isn’t producing when he gets it …Williams had a couple decent runs …but if/when Ajayi goes down, we’re a very different team …and teams will start to game plan around stopping him

…TH didn’t show anything to make me a change my mind on him as yet …Ajayi carried the team on his back, not TH …and the OL carried them both

…Special Teams, 2 wks in a row, have been the weak link …Rizzi needs to get that right …2 of the Bill’s TDs came on short fields given away by STs

…penalties …Dunner has that dead right …don’t mind the OL holding calls so much, they’re trying hard …but the stupid personal penalties need to stop …could have easily cost us the game

…but damn it was sweet …2nd week in a row we’ve dominated the time of possession …that’s what a real run game can do for you …move the chains, eat the clock, wear out their defense, rest ours

…oh oh …I’m beginning to sound like Steve …gotta stop that, I do 🙂

I agree on Thil…thing is I want him to stay for like 13-16..maybe 17 a year. He will always make a couple of bad throws (McNabb did the same thing) but he can be successful. I never thought he was terrible, my only reservation was would he reach the heights needed to match his contract. He can be a successful QB and likely in a good system and with competent surrounding cast get to 15-10 ranked qb…maybe 10-8 for a season here and there. But, if you have a good team that’s enough to be competitive and even win a ring. All those penalties and ST blunders are very problematic and are starting to be consistent — not good. Ajayi won’t have 200 yard games every week to put a pound of makeup on the crack ho…they need to get that fixed asap over this bye…STILL these last two weeks were beautiful!!!!

  • Dunner

Well what do you know, take the ball out of Tannys hands.
OLine looks for real, dominating two of the hottest teams in the league in the last two weeks.
Ajayi two straight 200 yard+ yd games, true story!
Gase is learning on the fly, you can win in this league without the hurry u!
    Dominating time of possesion, again!.
A divisional win, beat Rex at his own game, looking like the MUCH more physical team.
Wake being Wake! Suh being Suh!
Maxwell needs to get a clue still.
Stupid personal foul calls need to stop, period!

How about the home field advantage again. Don’t under estimate that element. Finally, after all these years, seems as though it is for real. Nice to see the visiting teams stand in the sun baking while Miami enjoys the shade.

May well be on to something, lets get to .500 in a few weeks with another division win and who knows.

    • admin

Yeah, all true. And Gase seems to be hitting the notes…still needs to reign in these penalties and ST issues, but overall you can’t complain much. Also, it’s really good luck that Ajayi get 2 weeks to recover from those 2 massive games!!! Jets are going to be very tough…that Dline doesn’t have the holes that the Steelers and Bill have…THill will have to be a much bigger factor….it will be very interesting. The healthy of Miami should pick up and a few players will be back…can’t wait!!!

  • Lemmus

    …I feel GOOD! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXCGnTy-v2M

    UP!!! …Ajayi 200+ yds run …twice in a row!
    UP!!! …TH 200+ yds pass/0 int/0 sacks
    UP!!! …OL …unbelievable
    UP!!! …Defense …stuffed the run …twice in a row!
DOWN!!! …Special Teams gave away 2 scores
We dominated on both sides of the ball 🙂

    3 x the charm! 🙂

    • admin

🙂 also down was all the needless penalties….gotta clean that up to win the lose one – BUT, yeah it was a great game and Gase seems to be proving he was the right hire!!!
