Toughness Is How Much You Can Take

The Dolphins are coming off an embarrassing loss against the former Super Bowl Champions. It was a loss that took a lot of wind out of the Dolphins recent surging sails – (and NO, I didn’t jump off a ledge and spend the last couple of days in a hospital: my lapse in articles was a mundane moving to a new house). Miami has had the epitome of a roller coaster season: the crash and burn of Coach Joe Philbin, and then the Dolphins phoenix like resurrection from the ashes performance in Coach Dan Campbell’s first two games, back to the Dolphins amateur performance on a Thursday night nationally televised game. With all that being said, which Dolphins team is going to show up in Buffalo this Sunday? This game will decide just how tough this team really is!

The Dolphins are benefiting with a few extra days of rest because their last game was Thursday, so they should be fully rested and prepared for this Sunday’s game. However, they are also going to be without their Superstar Defensive End Cameron Wake for the rest of the season, so this is going to be a massive hurdle for the team to overcome (though I like how Fede’s looked in his relief performance this season). Coach Campbell and the Dolphins are coming off a humbling defeat to the Patriots, and it will be very interesting to see how this team unites and rebounds this weekend. As it has been said by the world famous philosopher, Rocky Balboa, “But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”

The Dolphins have flashed that they can be a very good team on all sides of the ball, but can they do it more consistently and can they do it after hitting the mat as hard as they did against the Patriots. Only time will tell, and this game against the Bills, who are a team that they have especially struggled against the last 4 years, will be an excellent barometer to see where they measure up in terms of mental and physical toughness.

Most football gambling fans would agree that this year in the NFL the AFC is in a very unusual situation with 3 undefeated teams still remaining. The Patriots, Bengals and Broncos are all 7-0, and each team has a 3 game cushion in their respective divisions. This is quite a big cushion for a team to have with only 9 games left in the season. With the Division title a long shot for most teams, the more realistic chance for Miami is to make the playoffs with a the wild card berth, which Miami is only 1 game behind in the number 6 playoff position.

The Dolphins have already lost to the Bills earlier this season, and their current AFC conference record is a dismal 2-4, which means this upcoming game against the Bills is a must win game – if they want to keep pace in the playoff hunt. I believe that the Dolphins will play better than they played last week, and how they played in their first match-up against the Bills. The Bills have regressed since their 27 point shellacking of the Dolphins in week 3, whereas the Dolphins have made improvements since that game. This game should be much closer, but Miami is going to have to play a well rounded 60 minute football game if they want a chance to come away with a victory. Coach Campbell has stressed toughness as their motto – this week, after the heavy uppercut that sent Miami to the canvas, we’ll see what the 2015 Dolphins are made of. Also, we Fin Fans expect tough players – well, are we as tough as fans?! Go Fins and kick the hell out of the Bills!

AFC !!! Panthers are NFC…get your facts straight or reading comprehension. You are too busy trying to prove yourself that you fail on so many levels and it reeks of overcompensation. Toughness that is spoken of in this article (IF you actually read it and just didnt skim it to find ways you can make yourself feel better about yourself) is the toughness of character and mind…and not every team has it. I have got your points and even defended you, but honestly this is pathetic…my time is better served blowing my nose.

OMGawwd! Girl…first get your facts right….Carolina is also 7-and-O bro!

This game is not going to be about “toughness”, its all about TALENT, SKILL, and the Friggin QB play! Every NFL player and team is tough, or else they wouldnt be in the NFL.

Coaching, QB play, D play, talent level, matchups, all will determine who wins, just like every game.

    Geezus who writes this stuff?
