Our Top 10 Free Agency Wish List for the Phins

The Dolphins still have a handful of positions that they desperately need to upgrade this off-season, such as Defensive Tackle, Line-backer, Corner back, Guard and Wide Receiver. Obviously this list is a wish list and the Dolphins may not go after any of these players, so this isn’t a solid lock bet in football gambling however if we could land one of these players, then it would be an immediate improvement at that position. Here is our top ten list:

Top 10 Free Agent Acquisition wish list:

I have been a Suh fan from the beginning, however; the more time passes, the less I like this acquasition. Don’t get me wrong, should Miami pony up and get Suh, I would be pumped up, and our defense instantly becomes formidable.

I believe the smart money for Defensive Line would be to opt for (in order):
    Dan Williams
    Stephen Paea
    Terrance Knighton
All 3 of theses guys are in their later 20’s and would demand constant double teams. Also should be at a decent price and allow 1 or 2 more free agent signings (OL, CB, ILB)

The Offensive Line hopefuls (in order):
    Clint Bolinger
    Mike Iupati
    Orlando Franklin
Again all 3 are in their 20’s, with Bolinger being 25, not sure if Franklin can be kicked to guard, if he could if would be the third option.

    Cornerback hopefuls (in order):
    Kareem Jackson
    Parrish Cox
    Chris Culliver
    Bradon Flowers
Again, all these players are in their late 20’s and could allow for another signing or two.

I have not mentioned ILBer or WR because I am hoping these positions are addressed in the draft, especially WR. We have the opportunity to draft a difference maker at WR, getting one of the top 3 WR’s in the draft ( Parker, White, Cooper, Green-Beckham). Lber w/#2 round pick, followed by depth. Even if we were to get a Maclin, shorts, Britt (my personal hopeful), we should still draft a WR at #14.

Anyone of the above mentioned players in any order would allow us to take care of all three positions mentioned with any combination of the players listed at each of the 3 positions.

Pick up Suh or Revis and all players listed are out, most likely. But either of those 2 players and I’m not complaining.

I’d prefer Orlando Franklin at G. Better pass blocker and likely cheaper than Iupati. Really need a G that can help prevent all those inside pass rushes.

I vote for Iutapi at OG. You cant build a winning roster via so many FA’s. You cant pay for them and its a high risk scenario. The better teams win via talent acquisition in the draft, with a key FA pickup here and there.

Fins should find most value in FA at G and ILB positions, and draft the divas.
