Super Bowl Shocker

This upcoming Sunday is the big show, where the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will duke it out in Arizona to see which team will be raising the Lombardi Trophy. It is a terrific matchup, considering that the Patriots had a dynasty in the last decade winning 3 Super Bowls, and the Seahawks are trying to be this decade’s dynasty by winning back to back Super Bowls. Many of the best sportsbooks believe this will be a very close game, however, I believe that there is a solid chance of another blowout.

Even though the Patriots have had to deal with the media circus surrounding the deflated footballs, fans can bet their bottoms that they will not let this distract them from the task at hand, which is preparing for another Super Bowl. However, regardless of being focused and prepared, they are going to have a very tough task against an excellent football team. The fact is that the Patriots have not played a team of Seattle’s caliber all season. The NFC clearly has been better and more physical this season. One of the Patriots’ toughest games all season was against the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs, and that is because the Ravens are a very tough and physical team. Well, I hate to burst any Patriots fan’s bubble, but the Seahawks are even tougher, more physical and an all-around better team than the Ravens.

The Seahawks have the best defense in the league, and they are very close to being one of the best defenses of all time. They are going to get pressure on Brady, and they are good enough to get pressure without having to blitz him all the time. They also have a top-notch secondary including Sherman, Maxwell, Thomas, and Chancellor, who will be able to shut down Pat’s sub-par receiving crew. Brady is going to get frustrated because he has not had to face a defense of this caliber of defense in a very long time, and when Brady gets frustrated he starts to scream and moan and make errant throws. Look for the Seahawks’ defense to smother the Patriots offense from start to finish.

The Patriot’s defense has been decent, but more than anything they have been opportunistic and have created valuable turnovers. However, the Seahawks have one of the most well-rounded offenses in the league, led by one of the most ferocious running backs in Marshawn Lynch, and a very athletic and cerebral QB in Russell Wilson. The Seahawks may have had a rough time against the Packers in the NFC Championship, but that was their wake up call, so they will be ready to play this Sunday.

The best sportsbooks opened up the line at a pick-em and the line has pretty much been steady for the last 2 weeks. Some of the best sportsbooks have moved the line a bit to Patriots -1, but that is about as much movement as the line has made. The action has been coming in, in a heavy amount on the Patriots for the entire time. The free bookie software sites are just looking at the fact that the Patriots blew out the Colts in the AFC Championship Game, and that the Seahawks needed a miracle finish to even be playing in the Super Bowl. However, the bottom line is that the Seahawks have a better overall team, and they are the defending champs. I will go out on a limb and predict a double-digit victory by the defending champion Seattle Seahawks. Not only that but the NFL should be hoping the Seahawks win as well because even if the Pats do win, there will be lots of angry fans because nothing has been done yet to the Patriots for deflating their footballs. If Seattle wins, then there will be no asterisk * applied to this year’s Super Bowl winner.

Just trying to drive traffic to your pathetic site and article. Outside of Aaron Rodgers Seattle has faced garbage ab’s for weeks. The balance of the game will be close.

I agree that the Seahawks are the better team! When all the betting action is heavy towards one team, the opposite usually happens. Dan Marino predicted that the team who can run the ball best, or whoever stops the run better will win. That team is the Seahawks! The Patriots are an average running team. The team is built to protect Brady in the pocket on offense. I think the Seahawks will be able to do a good job on the ground, partially, because of the threat of Russell Wilson’s legs. Blount, Gray, and the rest of the Patriots RB’s will find it hard to gain appreciable yardage on the ground all day! Go Seahawks and send the cheating under-handed, Patriots home with yet another Super Bowl loss! Seahawks 27-17.
