Playoffs, Where Anything is Possible

Tebow proved V.S. the Steelers anything is possible come Playoffs.

Tebow proved V.S. the Steelers anything is possible come Playoffs.

Playoffs have provided many upsets over the years.

The time has finally arrived, where the Miami Dolphins will be playing in a Playoff game.

I know it might be hard fans, but let the first few series play out before you get glum from all the negative prognostication.

My heads not in the clouds, I get it. The picture isn’t rosy at face value — and actually, it been getting worse.

Miami is expected to play in its 3rd coldest game in franchise history! Even Mother Nature is against us!

And to say that the odds are stacked against them would be an understatement. The Dolphins currently as a +11 point underdog. That’s down from a low of 9.5.

In addition,  they have the Dolphins odds at winning the Super Bowl at +10,000, and odds of winning the AFC Championship at +5,000.  The crazy part is those odds are worse then before they made the Playoffs.  ESPN also made a detailed mathematical report that says Miami has .9% of 1% chance of winning the Super Bowl.

But, who pays attention to ESPN anymore, anyway?!

Sure, their plastic analysis will probably prove correct. However, let’s remember that Miami’s chance in this game is about the same chance they had at making the playoffs after starting the season 1-4.

BUT, they overcame those odds.

The best pay per head bookie service in the world opened this line with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the -10 point favorite, and the Steelers as -420 money line favorite to win the game. The action has been coming in steadily on the Steelers at more than a 2 to 1 ratio, and now the line has moved up to -11 points with the money line now -650.

Few thought it was possible for the Dolphins to get this far.

Well, all I have to say to that was last Sunday when the Browns and Steelers played in overtime and the Browns had a 1st in goal, the updated live money line was -1250 for the Browns to win…and they ended up losing. So, just because a team is a heavy favorite to win a game, doesn’t mean they are going to win.

Ask Tim Tebow about what was said about his chances the week leading up to his match-up with the Steelers?

Each year there is a wild card team that makes some noise in the Playoffs by deifying the odds by winning some Playoff games.

So why can’t it be the Miami Dolphins this year?

Anything is possible, and that’s a fact, Jack!

If the Dolphins can play sound, disciplined football, and get some turnovers, then they have a real chance to repeat the unbelievable and beat the Steelers for a second time.

And look, we have all been made to look like foolish fans at some point this season when the Dolphins turned certain disaster into victory.

Let’s put it sensibility on hold for a little bit and drink in Dolphins Playoffs.

Let’s enjoy the moment, and let it be a smooth transition with them as they move into the second round…if they win.

If they lose, there will be a whole offseason to live with that. So, let’s enjoy this surprise season till it certain to be over. Let’s see how it plays out before we write them off. Go Fins!!!

  • I am just happy to see them in the playoffs. No matter what happens tomorrow this has been a success and I am just so excited to be able to watch my team tomorrow and maybe get a W.

I agree…..bbbbbbuuutt, I’d really not like to see a blowout. I’d be snug as a bug in a rug for the long off season, if it were a scrappy exit — that is IF they lose. I’m gonna’ write one more article and then check my brain at the door and go full on fan, bragging to my family and friends that Dolphins will win by 50 pts!! 🙂 Can’t wait…

…win or lose tomorrow, this team will go into the off season as winners …they were 1-4 and the clown franchise of the NFL …and look at them now!

…can’t wait for next year …for the first time in forever, I actually expect them to contend with the Pats for the division title …hell, I EXPECT them to win it 😄
