Our Big chance: The Pats are hurting

football gambling

It is funny how football gambling fans wait all spring and summer for football to finally arrive, and then as soon as it does arrive the season begins to fly by. The Dolphins and the rest of the AFC East teams have already completed a quarter of their 16 game season. There is still 12 left to be played, and football gambling fans know that anything can still happen, but one thing that seems to be clear is that the AFC East Champion is going to have to claw and fight for every victory, and that the crown seems more up for grabs than in recent memory.

At the moment the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots are all tied for first with a .500 record of 2-2, and the Jets a game behind at 1-3. Belichick, Tom Brady and the rest of the New England Patriots just got blown out, and entirely embarrassed this past Monday Night. Brady is arguably having one of the worst starts to a season he has ever had over the course of his Hall of Fame career. Obviously Brady and Belichick are not going to go down and surrender the AFC East crown without a fight, but the fact is that the Patriots have quite a few issues that are not going to be fixed overnight.

First of all the Patriots’ offensive line is starting to look like the Dolphins’ Offensive line of last season. They have already surrendered 55 total pressures (sacks, hits and hurries), which is the worst in the league and 25 more than the league average of 30. The Giants proved in two Super Bowls that the best way to get Brady off his game is to not give him time to throw the ball. If the Patriots do not find a way to protect Brady, then he might not make it through the season. Brady is already 37 years old and at the tail end of his career, and getting hit and pressured relentlessly is not helping his NFL longevity. In addition Brady is not getting any help from his receivers besides the reliable Edelman, and the banged up Gronkowski. LaFell, Amendola and the youngsters have provided no support as of yet, and do not appear capable of providing more in the future. Lastly the Patriots’ Defense has been shredded on the ground, and their once reliable tackling has been atrocious this season.

There is not going to be a quick and easy fix that helps the Patriots flick the switch back to their early dynasty days when Brady lead them to 3 Super Bowl victories out of 5 Super Bowl appearances. However even though the champ is hurting, football gambling fans would be wise not to count them out yet. They still have a Hall of Fame coach and QB, that will both be putting in extra work this week to help regain control of a season that is starting to slip away.

As a result of this revelation that the Patriots are going to have a beatable team this year, the Dolphins need to step up and seize this golden opportunity to be the new Sheriff in the AFC East. If the Dolphins can consistently find a way to play more like they did against the Raiders or like they did in the second half against the Patriots, then the Dolphins have a realistic chance of winning the AFC East and hosting a playoff game. Every victory will be extremely valuable this season, because it looks like the AFC East champ may be a team with only 8 to 10 wins this season.

C’mon maan! Fins couldn’t beat the Bills lead by EJM at SunLife in 90degree heat. Then they laid an egg against the Chiefs….at home again. The last win was against a coachless Raidaz team.

Jets will implode. Bills are just a better team and have better coaches. The Pats, I mean it wasnt too long ago all the talking head so called experts were writing the Packers off and look how they turned it around. Look at how Dallas has and the Giants.

If you think the Pats are done this year….youre smokin bad dope.
