Not a big dawg yet

The Dolphins went the full 12 rounds with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, but they were unable to deliver the knock out punch to the former AFC Champs. The fact is that the Broncos are a Super Bowl contender and have a strong possibility of representing the AFC again in this upcoming Super Bowl, and the Dolphins showed they are a quality team that can hang with the big dawgs, but they are not a big dawg yet.

The Dolphins were able to actually come out of the gate and play well in the first half scoring 21 points, all touchdowns, and holding the Broncos to 17 points. Even in the 3rd quarter they were able to out score the Broncos 7-0. However, that last crucial 4th quarter where championships are won and lost, the Dolphins could not stop C.J. Anderson, Peyton Manning and Demaryius Thomas from putting up 22 unanswered points and completing a 15 point comeback. I was impressed with the Dolphins start, but as soon as they scored that first touchdown in the 4th quarter, the highlights of this old movie came flashing before my eyes and it was like watching a train crash in slow motion, because I knew a loss was going to be the outcome. The biggest thing that killed the Dolphins in this game, was actually their inability to stop third string C.J. Anderson in the running game.

Phin fans can complain and moan all they want, but I think it is evident to all sports gambling fans out there that the Dolphins have a good football team, and can compete against any team in the league. Tannehill threw 3 touchdowns and ran for one, which helped the Dolphins put up 36 points, and allowed the Dolphins to go punch for punch with Manning. I thought the whole team played their hearts out and I am proud of them, and so should the rest of phin fans. The sad part is, that we do have a good football team and I believe that we have shown countless times this season that we are worthy enough to be in the playoffs, but there is a strong possibility that we still do not make the playoffs.

This game showed sports gambling fans that the Miami Dolphins are a talented football team that can play on the road against one of the best teams in the league and be able to play them tight for 60 minutes. However, this game also showed sports gambling fans that the Dolphins are still not one of the elite teams in the league, and at this time, they are not a legitimate contender for the Super Bowl. But the pieces are definitely there.

Dude, Im getting ready to bail on this blog. What you wrote in this article is the definition of mediocrity. What happened to “…you play to win the game!”

This team has languished long enough in mediocrity. Playoffs are a dream here. Not that that is the goal mind you. Super Bowl is the goal, and winning it!

This team is nowhere ready to be anything more than around .500, and that is embarrassing to this once proud franchise.

And for all those homer that this our D is stellar. You drank the kool aid homies. In the three games this team lost in the final seconds, it lost due to the defense, in all 3 games.

Dont tell me about injuries. Every team has em and they have the talent on their roster to overcome it. Not here folks. Years of piss poor drafting, FA busts have made this teams bench marginal at best, and the starters basically average perhaps good at times. But dominant? Hell no.

Philbin is not a winning coach. I don’t care what you say. I know this team is going nowhere, fast.

Another Dolphin blow hard.. Enough with the Dolphins being a proud franchise in the 70’s and 80’s and 90’s. The fact is this team has not been relevant in 15 years. However, this team this season is clearly showing signs that they can be relevant in years to come. I think for all the complainers that were not happy about the Denver team, its time for you guys to go cheer for a new team. Denver is clearly one of the best teams in the NFL, and have been for the past three seasons, and Miami just went into their house and went punch for punch for them. 90% of the teams in the league would not be able to do that, and 100% of the last 15 years worth of Dolphin teams would have got their doors blown off. So if you saying the Dolphins exhibiting mediocrity against the Broncos you need to either get your eyes fixed or cheer for a new team, or find a new blog. Enough with the sky is falling with the Dolphins. GO BE A JETS FAN

The Dolphins have a penchant for blowing late leads. Some of the blame can be laid on injuries. We have a good starting roster but we are shallow in the backup talent compartment. The biggest problem rests with the coaches. You can’t rush 3 and drop 8 against Payton Manning. Manning picked us apart and brought the Broncowski’s back for a 3 point win.

We have a clear pattern of not throwing deep and straying from the aggressive play that gets us the lead. The Dolphins are not good enough to play a prevent defense and a conservative (prevent) offense late in a game.

They blew 3 leads, to the Packers, Lions and Broncos, and 2 were on the road. These are elite teams, Miami is close, but its clear we are not there yet. But can anyone say this is not the best Miami team we have fielded in the last 15 years?
