Miami Trades McCain, Parker & Stills Injured

Miami had some big names injured in today’s practice.

The Miami Dolphins had a few big events today. Chris McCain, according to league sources, is in the process of being traded to the Saints.

As an undrafted rookie, anything Miami would receive would be entering the “bonus round”. It is said to be draft pick compensation and not a player.

This also might be a way to clear up space on the roster for Dion Jordan. Of course, that would be conjecture…but not outside the bounds of reality.

That’s the good news.

Miami found itself down 2 Wide Receivers after today’s practice.

The bad news is Stills and Parker were injured in practice today.

A one-on-one collision put Kenny Stills on the carpet for several minuets. He was able to walk off under his own power, but Adam Gase, who is normally a cool character, seemed a bit concerned. There has been no official word on the extent of the injury, but it’s being described as a “back injury”. Stills appeared to be in some serious pain though.

A little bit later, DeVante  Parker came up limping after a touchdown reception over Lafayette Pitts and hobbled to the sidelines. He never returned to practice. It seemed to observers that he has likely re-aggravated his hamstring injury, but again, no official word has been made.

With thirteen days before their Week 1 game against the Seattle Seahawks, there is still time to mend, but no injury is a good injury.

Also, on the list of injured was Laremy Tunsil, who worked in the bubble, but left early from practice. It’s likely just something very minor or simply a day of rest.

Not even the best pay per head sportsbook could bet on what the extent of the injuries is at this point. Fans and Miami management are hoping it all amounts to some dings that disappear quickly…very quickly. But, at least, Miami is deep at Receiver and can absorb these injuries to a certain extent – if they are short term. Go Fins!!!
