Lions, Dolphins and Fears

football gambling

The Dolphins just had their best and biggest win of the season, tearing apart a good San Diego Chargers team. However, instead of flying high over the impressive Charger victory, the Dolphins and their fans need to pull back the reigns and focus on their next opponent, because if the Dolphins want to make the playoffs, then they are going to need at least 10 victories to do it. There are currently 11 teams with a winning record in the AFC and only 6 teams will make the playoffs so every victory here on out is crucial.

The Dolphins will be facing a very tough Lions team in Detroit, and if the Dolphins are not prepared to play, then this game has the potential to be a let down game. Most football gambling fans would say that the Lions’ defense is going to be the best defense that the Dolphins have faced so far this season. They have a stout defensive line led by Ndamukong Suh, and they lead the league in points allowed at 15.8 per game, also they are ranked second best against the run and 5th best against the pass. If Lamar Miller’s shoulder is not well enough to play against the Lions, then Miami is going to be a one-dimensional offense, which will play right into the teeth of the Lions defense.

Calvin Johnson, who has been banged up recently, should be healthy enough to play this Sunday, and even though Grimes is putting up another pro-bowl type season he is going to have his hands full with megatron.

The Dolphins do not match up well against Detroit in many areas on the football field, so they better not be celebrating the Chargers victory too much, because this game is screaming for a Dolphins let down. Hopefully the players and coaches can build off the Chargers game and be ready to take on the Lions in Detroit. If not then the Dolphins are going to get a quick and hard reality check, and with a tight race in the AFC, a let down could prove extremely costly.

I think the Sunsentinel is trolling here and stealing our material folks. See todays article by Chris Perkins where he robs my point that the key matchup will be between Suh and Pouncey.

We posted here days ago…now all of a sudden Perkins poaches my point.

    Paydaman Perkins you plagerizer!

I still have The Lions, The Patriots and the Broncos as three losses for the Dolphins. However, if we loose these three games, we still hit the 10 & 6 mark. It is much more important for us to beat the Bills at home on Thursday night. We need Lamar Miller and company healthy for that game. We just lost the safety Thomas who added some real depth to the secondary and special teams. I don’t have a game plan for stopping Megatron but I can definitely say that Megatron will have a bad day if his quarterback has a bad day. Pass rush and stopping the run might be a good start in our game with the lions. Kick coverage is still a weak spot with the special teams. Field position is going to be a big factor.

Believed it the Dolphins are getting better each week. Arizona has 10 pro ball players on their team and Miami Dolphins I spot over 13 pro ball players right now.

The Fins earlier this season beat New England and will beat them again!
I keep saying this Dolphins Team and Coaches are a special group. They are only getting better each week.

I think we should be concerned about this game they are a physical tough group. BUT and it’s a big but, they don’t have the will of a Green Bay or new England. They can be beat. I think Grimes and company need to come through like they have been, the OL has to stay tough against their DL which is the strength of their team. They don’t have the will to win but I hope our will to win prevails. Tanne needs to come through again this week to show us what he is made of!

I admit Im a big skeptic when it comes to the Fins. I don’t buy we’re as good as this last win vs Chargers, nor do I believe we’re as bad as we were earlier in the year.

But I also dont agree the Lions are a bad matchup in many places for us either. Megatron is a favorable match vs our short CB’s, yes. But what I am looking forward to is the Suh vs Pouncey matchup!

I think this game is more even than what meets the eye. Of course, that doesnt mean squat as Im convinced Philbin and staff have an eye on the upcoming Bills game.

I look for a high scoring game. Sturgis missing a long critical FG.

    Lions 33
    Fins 31
