High-Tech Treatment Offers Promise For Pouncey… At Least In 2017

Pouncey is in the process of his most comprehensive rehab yet

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words… but from time to time, those thousand words can be misinterpreted.

When I saw the above picture of Mike Pouncey on social media, I cringed–especially given the current state of the Miami Dolphins News Offensive Line.

But after digging into some articles on Pouncey’s current state, a huge breathe of fresh air came rushing in.

This isn’t pie in the sky either Fin Fans and the best pay per head reviews.

Pouncey is undergoing his most comprehensive rehab to date. It’s one he should’ve undergone a long time ago. Understand, this isn’t your regular rehab. He is getting a Stem Cell Procedure as part of the process. For those who don’t understand what this means, this is a quote from one of the leading companies in performing the process:

“…Procedures help solve this problem by greatly increasing your body’s own natural repair cells and promote healing. This is accomplished by harvesting cells from areas known to be rich in mesenchymal stem cells and then concentrating those cells in a lab before precisely re-injecting them into the damaged area in need of repair.”

Pouncey would be a major addition to the O-Line if healthy

Many of us remember Billy Simms, and how one tear ended a brilliant career far too early. We older fans are stuck in some old ways of thinking, especially in regards to treatment. Medically speaking, we are entering an era of Sci-Fi, and most don’t fully grasp this. Players are bouncing back from what was once career-ending injuries with great regularity. This is especially true for those players who are millionaires and have the full backing of the franchise.

College players and fringe players aren’t so lucky.

Many of these cutting edge procedures, and the premier doctors who perform them, are only available to the upper-crusty class…and Pouncey is part of that class, and even more so because Steven Ross gives him greater access.

It’s obvious Pouncey’s hips are degenerative… and one of the specific uses of the Stem Cell Procedure is for such cases.

For those you are into this stuff, muscle atrophy is a key sign of arthritis. Take a look at Pouncey’s legs when he first entered the league compared to now. Under normal conditions, Pouncey’s washed up, and his career is over. But given this current procedure, the chances of him performing at a high level without setbacks, at least in the 2017 season, are actually very high.

Pouncey is special when blocking at the second level

Look at players like Adrian Peterson and Ryan Tannehill to see the results of this treatment.

I have been down on Pouncey for three years now. I wanted him gone because all I could see was a falling star with a gigantic price tag.

But ladies and gents of aqua, we may very well have a huge surprise coming our way in 2017. If Pouncey responds, as so many others have, he will be the anchor of the line this season and that would be a major bonus.

If a Pouncey recovery ends up being the case, Miami would have two good bookend tackles and a premier center–even one more quality guard would be a big deal. So hold tight to see if super-science has really arrived to save the day. I think there is a very good chance it has. Go Fins!!!

This has to be his final season if he doesn’t make it through without injury. Can’t continue to rely on false hope. Hope he has a healthy season and this is a moot point.

Depending on his recovery… but this is the last season where his contract makes it impossible. 2018 it’s a lot more feasible.

  • Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery and plenty more NFL years of playing.

Promise??? Hope that promise includes 16 games plus the playoffs. Oh yea, and the Superbowl!!! 🙂

hahah, I’m a big believer in this procedure. I really think there is a good chance to get 16 games plus out of him. This is super science. I think a wave of super science is slowly getting introduced to the NFL game… over the next couple of years there will be a wave of healings unlike we have seen before.

…keep in mind that this is no longer super science …it’s been approved by Medicare for a number of treatment plans and thus the cost is rapidly falling …and compared to the cost of finding and developing a replacement for a pro bowl caliber player, it’s cheap by any measure

…on the other hand, those waiting for Brady or Belicheat to retire are gonna have a much longer wait …think about Brady winning another SB at 50+ …scary, eh …but it’s definitely possible

Some of the procedure have to be done over seas– as per Tannenhill, as they re spin the cells and yadda-yadda… and as with anything, paying cash gets you better treatment than Medicare. Yeah, it’s more common now, but it’s still super science. Hey, as this draft gets closer I find my self hoping more and more for Lamp the security blanket. I am feeling nervous… haven’t felt that way since the Parcels era!!!

Unless you know something I don’t Medicare does not pay for any orthopedic stem cell treatments. I am very familiar with the treatments. Had a treatment done to my shoulder. I do keep up on the science, unless something has changed in the last few weeks which I doubt Medicare does not pay. A lot more science and studies needed before medicare will pay.

Robert how did it work? All I have read, and seeing the response from the people who have had it done, mostly there has been a tremendous recovery.
