Game Time: Why you should take the Phins

Best sportsbook

Phin fans have been waiting patiently for many months, but the time is finally here, and the 2014 season will open this Sunday for our beloved Miami Dolphins, when they take on the New England Patriots at 1pm eastern in South Florida. Every season starts with hope regardless of the team, and the Dolphins have at least shown this off-season that they will have a competitive team on the field.

It is not going to be rocket science to figure out what the Phins need to do if they want to beat the Patriots. Plain and simple they are going to have to score touchdowns, and stop Brady. Yes it sounds obvious and sounds simple on paper, but it is going to be far from that when the game begins.

In regards to the Offense, even though we saw glimpses of Lazor’s new offense, it was only the tip of the iceberg. So the Dolphins should at least have some advantage of surprise against the Pats in the first week of the season. In addition, Lazor’s offense is going to be fast and up-tempo, so by the fourth quarter under a sweltering Miami Sun around 3:30 in the afternoon, the Patriots Defense should hopefully be more gassed than the Miami Offense. Hopefully Moreno and Miller can provide a spark in the running game, so the Dolphins will not be a one dimensional offense.

In regards to the Defense, the Phins need to put pressure on Brady, and sack him. The Dolphins have a stout D-line and they need to prove that in this first game, by constantly putting Brady on the ground. Lets face it, Tom Brady is a Hall of fame QB, but even Hall of Fame quarterbacks have issues when they are constantly running for their life. In addition, whenever Gronk is in the game, Coyle and the defense need to have 1 or 2 defenders shadowing him, especially in the red-zone.

On the best sports betting software like Ace Pay Per Head Software in the world the opening line over the summer was the Patriots -3. The line has been very active, going to as high as -4 ½ for the Patriots and at the current moment it is -4 for the Patriots, with the action heavily weighted on the Patriots side. Under Joe Philbin, the Dolphins have consistently played better when the best sportsbooks had them as the underdog. The Dolphins should have a clear advantage with the extreme heat and that will most likely come into play in the fourth quarter. Jimmy’s pick is the phins with the points and take Dolphins to win on the moneyline +180.

The line is set and then reacts to bets. A -3 line usually indicates a cancellation of the home field advantage but in this case illustrates that the Dolphins will maintain a 3 point home field advantage. The popular bet dropped the spread anothe 1 to 11/2 points. I think that this -4 is a real compliment to the Fins. The Pats pretty well own us in any 10-year analysis. Lets hope that the rain and the humidity wear those Pats down and we have a great second half. The Pats line is an adjusted one and Brady does not have great receivers. I am hoping Gronk is rusty. Look for brady to pick on Davis when he is in the game. With a little luck, we could walk out with a win. My heart says Dolphins 24 – Pats 21. My brain says Pats 31 – Dolphins 24.

    GO DOLPHINS!
