Dolphins Resign Andre Branch And Kenny Stills
Kenny Stills and Andre Branch will be returning.
A major move and a winning move tot bring back Stills
I didn’t believe Kenny Stills or Andre Branch would be back. Man was I wrong… and I couldn’t be happier.
With Stills I thought it would cost too much to have him and Jarvis Landry on the same squad. As far as Branch goes, his ability, or lack thereof, at holding the edge was the reason I thought he wouldn’t be back. At least, for the price he was expecting.
Branch is expected to get $27 million over three years. The particulars about Branch’s contract that has me wondering if it was the right move. How much is guaranteed?
Stills is getting a four year $32 million dollar contract with $20 million guaranteed. This is a great contract! Stills will make good. The guaranteed money doesn’t bother me in the least. I can’t believe he went with less money to be a Dolphin–although, the sure 20 million is very sweet for him.

The rumors of his special relationship with Adam Gase weren’t smoke and mirrors–not in the least.
This move makes me respect Stills more, as well as Gase’s charisma, and Mike Tannenbaum’s ability to make a good contract. This was a big win…

Then there’s Branch.
I like him and the short contract. I like that he is young, the Dolphins aren’t forced into getting a D-end early, and that he can rush the passer. Not sure if I like the price. But, I believe in this staff, and if they are good, then so am I… for now.
So, there you have it. The Dolphins aren’t playing. They said they will keep there own, and they meant it. This was a good day for the franchise… if Branch steps it up, it will have been a great day. Go Fins!!!

…Cleveland is stinking up the FA market
…they just signed my #1 FA guard prospect, Zeitler, for 5 years and 60 mil with 31.5 mil guaranteed …that’s nuts …12 mil a year for a G? …and half guaranteed? …I was hoping Tannenbaum would pony up the expected price of 8 mil per year …but 12 mil? …plus the guaranteed money? …not even Tannenbaum is that loopy!
…and lets not even talk about them taking Osweiller’s 16 mil contract off Houston’s hands plus a 2nd rounder …and according to the rumors, they don’t even intend to play him, will hold and deal him to another team that is MORE desperate …but they’ll keep the xtra 2nd round pick
…that’s what 100 mil in cap and high draft picks will do to a GM with his job on the line
…as for the fins, that leaves Lang as the only available high quality FA Guard and he has issues …but you can bet his agent is drooling over the new landscape 🙁
Gotta like what Miami is doing. Stills is here for 4 more years (Wow, hes only 24). Branch is here to stay for the next 3 years. There may have been sexiers DEs available, but starts in-house. Gase knows what he is getting from both players. Also under the radar, are re-signing Pitts, Steen, Duarte, and Hull. They all add depth, which also should help solidify our good special teams. You know these players must practice the way a professional should, other wise Gase would have went in different direction.
Boy, if Timmons jumps on board later today, we could be onto something. Know we still need a few guards, I do believe they will be signed at some point. For me, doesn’t have to be the top guards, a couple young, healthy guards will do.
If Timmons ends up here prior to the draft, that could give us a hint towards their #22 pick, looks like it would be a LBer (Sam). Hopefully it will be Reddick or Cunningham or Watt or Williams.
Like what is going on so far and FA hasn’t even begun yet. Fingers crossed for Timmons and 2 guards, possibly a safety as well. OK, a D-Linemand also.

…in house, they still need to sign Sims and Alonzo and extend Parker, Jones, and Landry …they won’t be cheap
…I’m not going to be happy with anything less than top guards …the turnstile twins were young, healthy “starting caliber” guards and they stank …its long past time to give TH some real protection, not to mention running lanes for Ajayi
…Timmons will be 31 and get paid north of 15 mil …while hes been a good, healthy MLB, I’d prefer they go younger if they can …not that you’ll hear me cry if they sign him, but its just kicking the can down the road imnsho …we need a 3 year starter for a ring run and I don’t see that from Timmons
…yeah, I agree that Gase is making a difference, guys want to play here now for a shot at a ring, not just SouthBeach
…think we may see another DE signed as well as a S, maybe a CB …but they won’t be top tier players

No word yet. But, I do think it will be DE or LB at 1 with an outside shot at G. No big time G’s have been picked up in the draft… still hoping for one. Exciting day today. Can’t wait for tomorrow.

Timmons is coming in for a visit. He would work for a couple years I think. I’m with you on the guards though. Please don’t try to fix the line in the draft again
I want them in FA, but I heard they want guards who can grow together, so now I’m thinking they will head towards the draft for them… but we’ll see. Exciting so far.
I think they are going for them in the draft. We might actually see one come in the 1st or second round. I think they’ll get one in FA two.
