Dolphins 2015 Home Opener

This Dolphins team is looking to do something no other Dolphins team has ever been able to do before; beat the Houston Texans. The Dolphins are 0-7 against the Texans, but there is no time better than now for the Dolphins to finally get a victory. The Dolphins are coming off their best and most complete game of the season, and the challenge will be to repeat that performance on Sunday.

The last time the Dolphins played at Sun Life Stadium, they had their home opener, which they were embarrassed in by the Buffalo Bills. However, a lot has changed since then, starting with the head coach and the team’s new found intensity. This home game could very well be viewed as another home opener. At the very least, this is Dan Campbell’s home opener, and he is going to want his team to have that same intensity as they had last week. If they can do that, the crowd will also be feeding into the energy.

The best football betting software online have the Dolphins as the hometown favorite at -4.5. The line has been very steady all week, with it only briefly moving to -4, but then quickly moving back to -4.5. The action is coming in roughly double on the phins, which is not always the best sign when the public likes one side over another.

I believe that the Dolphins are going to have the same game plan as they did last week: they will be committment to the run game and pressure on the opposing QB. The Dolphins have the blueprint for success, and from last week’s performance, they have the talent to be a ground and pound and aggressive team. This game against the Texans is going to be won in the trenches. Miami must limit the impact of J.J. Watt, and then on defense, they must apply a health dose of pressure to Brian Hoyer and the Texans running game.

My prediction is that this sleeping giant has awoken, and this is going to come up with another impressive performance. The Texans are not a very good football team, and the Dolphins are out to prove that they are. Now that they have a coach that is not afraid to be aggressive, this team can focus on playing football. I expect the Dolphins to win this game and cover the -4.5 point spread, with a 24-13 victory. What does the rest of the Miami Dolphins News fans think about the Dolphins chances in this game?

If they win big again which I hope they do, that only proves that the problem all along was Philbin and Coyle

I don’t know if those problems were the sole reason, but effort and failed scheme choices was a large reason. Still think certain holes on the squad can and will be exploited by better teams,BUT as far as viewing games win or lose I am tickled to death about what I saw for at least one week. Today will give a larger dose of data to equation.

Ralph, Jimmy Cefalo at the end of the game from the broadcast booth screamed “coaching matters”. Need I say more. Philbin & Coyle were the problems. No trust or confidence by the players=poor performance & effort on game day. Campbell has changed the entire mindset of the team!
