Beware the Trap Game

football gambling

This is Joe Philbin’s 3rd year as Miami’s head coach, and one thing that has stood out is that Miami has played better football against better teams, and worse football against worse teams. Miami has consistently played up or down to the level of their opponent. So when Miami plays against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday will they be able to avoid sinking to the Jaguars’ level?

The Jaguars are clearly one of the worst teams in the league, which is obvious from their dismal 1-6 record, however they are coming off their first victory of the season and are hoping to build of that momentum. However, the reality is that the Jaguars have been a bad team for many years now, and their talent level is extremely low. Most football gambling fans would say that there are not many players on the Jaguars’ starting units that would be able to start for the Dolphins.

Last year the Dolphins beat the Patriots, Chargers, Steelers, Colts and Bengals, and four of those teams made the playoffs last season. This proves that the Dolphins have the capability to hang with some of the big boys in this league. However, the reason the Dolphins did not make the Playoffs last year was because they could not beat either the Bills or the Jets in their last two games, and we know that both of these teams were not very good last year. In addition the Dolphins also lost to the win less Bucs last year and they got sweep by the Bills. This a prime time example of the Dolphins playing to the level of their opponent.

This season the Dolphins have beaten the Patriots and nearly beat the Packers, both are very good football teams. When the Dolphins played the hapless Raiders in London, they were actually able to break away from their tendency of playing down to the level of bad teams, and were able to dominate and win. The million dollar question this weekend is, will the Dolphins be able to dominate the Jaguars like they did with the Raiders, or will they fall back into their normal trend of playing down to the level of a bad team?

I predict that the Dolphins will be able to show the Jaguars who is boss in Florida and win by at least double digits. The talent and skill level on the Dolphins is clearly better, and this team has already shown they can take care of business against a weaker opponent, and bounce back from a heart breaking defeat like they did last week in Chicago. What does the rest of the phins fans think?

We tell you here more about what the phins need to do to take home this win!! Phins up!!

I have a feeling of playing down to an opponent is the past, I’m more concerned about the scat back the Jags have, it’s exactly what the Dolphins seem to have a problem with.

I hope your right, they proved this against Oakland. Yes Robinson could be an issue for Miami very similar to Sproles, who has always had monster games against the phins

    “….dont go crowning their ass….”

Fins should win. This is a pure coaches game. Philbin will be under the spotlight.
Can he get his team ready and motivated to “…you play to win the game…” or will he play to ‘not lose the game…”?

I for one have no trust in Philbin.
