The Miami Dolphins will travel up to Buffalo this weekend to take on the Bills at 1pm on Sunday, and even though this is only the second game of the season, this will be one of the more meaningful games these two teams have played in quite some time. The Bills had an upset victory on the road against a heavily favored Bears team, and the Dolphins were able to come from behind and upset the perennial AFC East champion New England Patriots.

Everyone is aware that the Bills have a very dominant defensive line, so this is going to be a major test for the  Dolphins’ offensive line and running game. With the addition of Moreno, the Dolphin running attack should show a lot more toughness against the Bills this season. Also the offensive line has shown improvement from last season, and Tannehill has improved his decision making in getting rid of the ball sooner, and his ball release has quickened. These are all positive reasons why the Dolphins this season appear more equipped to handle the Bills defensive line.

During the week, offensive coordinator Bill Lazor has publicly, and internally voiced his concern that the offense is not playing at the level he expects. He correctly stated that there were a lot of offensive miscues during the Pats game, which led to a lot of points being left on the field, instead of on the score board. Even though the Dolphins scored 33 points which was a feat they only achieved one time last year, it is refreshing that Lazor is not afraid to demand more from his offensive unit. I love that the phins offensive came out, and racked up 33 points on the Pats defense, while also having 3 turnovers, 1 touchdown dropped, 1 touchdown called back on a penalty, and one touchdown caught with only one foot in bounds. And don’t forget this was only the first official game using Lazor’s new offense. It is truly scary what the phins offense can do if they are actually clicking on all cylinders.

The key for the phins is to be able to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. If the offensive line can provide running lanes for the backs, and time for Tannehill to throw the ball, then the phins should be able to have another 30 point plus explosion. If the phins stout defensive line can stone wall the Bills running attack, and force Manuel to beat them with his arm, then the Phins should be in good shape on the defensive side.

The line-backing unit is going to have to rely on their back ups again, because Wheeler is the only starter that is going to play, and he may be severely limited. The back ups need to start off the game where they left off in the Patriots game. In addition the secondary is going to face a lot faster group of receivers in Watkins, Woods, Williams and Goodwin, so they have to prepared to stop the long ball big play

The best sports betting software like Ace Pay Per Head Software in the world opened up the Dolphins line with the Phins as the slight underdog at +1, but they immediately received some heavy action, which caused the line to flip all the way towards -1 ½ for the Phins. The line has now moved back to a pick em on Acesportsbook.com, one of the top online sportsbooks in the world. It will be interesting to see where the line ends before kickoff. Usually when the lines are this close and flip sides, then the result usually lands pretty much spot on, so don’t be surprised if the winning team wins by only 1 point. But of course my pick is for the Dolphins to be the team that wins by the 1 point.
