And the Pick for the Phins is?

sports gambling

Tomorrow is the 2014 NFL Draft, the rumors and speculation are beginning to reach their apex, but one thing is for certain, whoever the Dolphins pick with the number 19th pick, this player must be a starter, and hopefully be a high quality starter for years to come. This is a very deep draft loaded with a lot of talented young men, so the Miami Dolphins and new GM Dennis Hickey must find football players that are going to make impact plays this upcoming season. If the Dolphins want to be a playoff contender then they desperately need to draft at least 3 quality starters this weekend.

If one of the top 4 tackles in the draft; Greg Robinson, Jake Matthews, Taylor Lewan or Zack Martin are available when the Dolphins are on the clock then the wise sports gambling decision is to draft a top prospect at the position of the highest need. If those players are gone, then the phins should not reach for a second tier tackle prospect, but instead go for either a Linebacker, CB, TE or WR, in that order.

If Anthony Barr the Outside Linebacker from UCLA is still on the board then he should definitely be the pick if we decide to go linebacker. C.J. Mosley should still be on the board, but personally I do not like him at all. He has a banged up knee, his draft stock has been on the decline, and last season he didn’t make enough impact plays, 1 forced fumble, no interceptions or sacks. There are plenty of play making linebackers that can be drafted in the second round instead of Mosley such as Trent Murphy, Kyle Van Noy, Chris Borland or Ryan Shazier.

There are four solid CBs that all have first round grades, so anyone of them would be a solid pick at the number 19th spot. The top 4 are Justin Gilbert, Darqueze Dennard, Kyle Fuller and Bradley Roby. Any one of these players would be a solid addition to pair with Brent Grimes, and also push last year’s two CB’s that we drafted.

Lastly the Wide Receiver position is pretty loaded this year, and even though the Phins  have Wallace, Hartline, Matthews, and Gibson; they are banged up and Hickey has already hinted that he is probably going to trade, or a cut of one of these players this season or next season. There is a good chance that Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans and Odell Beckham Jr, will all be off the board when the Dolphins draft, but if any of those three slide down then Miami may want to pull the trigger. Two other WR’s that should be on the board when they draft is Marqise Lee and Brandin Cooks. Any of these 5 receivers has an extremely high ceiling and would help make Miami’s passing game more dangerous

However I would say that there is one player, who if he is still on the board when the Dolphins pick, should definitely be taken over any other player and he is the TE Eric Ebron. He would be my number one choice, regardless if one of the top tackles are available. He is a match up nightmare in the passing game, and he can also block in the running game. He is the type of player that could easily be the most successful player that comes out of this entire draft. His ceiling is through the roof, and would instantly become a favorite target of Ryan Tannehill.

He does need some work with run blocking, that can be coached. He has top ten talent with a skill set like Vernon Davis. If the Bills don’t pick him, i don’t see him getting past steelers. If does slide to 19, i say grab him!

I agree, If Ebron or Barr slide pick him! If not, pick one of the top 4 tackles if one slides. All will probably gone by the19th pick (maybe Martin will be there if the QB fall early) Don’t reach for anyone! trade back for extra picks! This draft is deep.

According to the Pundits with ESPN, they say that Ebron is good as a receiver but he does not block well at all and needs alot of work with blocking. I have not seen tape of Ebron, who is correct about his blocking?
